Approach
The Hard Rock Cafe in Koregaon Park, Pune is the third outlet in India of this world renowned chain of restauarants. Ideally situated near luxury hotels and shopping centres, and also a short distance from the airport, it is a people favourite to spend their weekend afternoons and evenings in.
Ambience
Spread across 8500-square-foot, this retail outlet provides some great insight into the American culture. Items representing contemporary star and rock legends adorn the walls and pillars of this cafe. Key memorabilia displayed in this cafe includes a black leather jacket that was once worn by the music legend Bob Dylan, a Welson Hollowbody electric guitar signed by Bono and The Edge of U2, and Elton John's denim patch coat. The cafe features three distinct sections, including a 120-seat restaurant, bar area, and 80-seat open courtyard as well as Hard Rock’s signature Rock Shop. The ambiance is infused with some great American pop and rock music. It is full of the rock-n-roll vibe.
Food and Service
The cafe, keeping up with its tradition, provides some great all-American cuisine. There is a giant list of burgers that are filled in with various kinds of cheese, meat and some deliciously cooked onion rings. The portion size is too much for one person to have it by himself. There is also a section called the 'Aamcha Pune' that caters to Indian platters that include paneer kathi rolls, Kerala prawns curry and so much more. There is also some great giant sized selection of cocktails like Platinum Bloody Mary, the Ultimate Long Island Iced Tea and a host of margaritas in different flavours. The staff here is extremely polite and might also entertain you with a little jig once in a while as part of this cafe's unique tradition of servicing its customers.
