3rd December 2020The Skylark is a good place to visit. It is a little gem in the heart of Manhattan! I recently visited NYC for the first time and one thing on my ‘must do’ list, was cocktails in a rooftop bar over looking the Empire State Building, The Skylark ticks both of those boxes! We reserved a table for drinks a week or two before we left for our trip and were sat in a beautiful sitting area with floor to ceiling windows. We chose to start with a ‘Maple Old Fashioned’ and moved on to Apero

Approach
The Skylark is located at 200 W on 39th Street. It is one of the sought after locations for post-work guests for a relaxed evening. Since the lounge is quite well known, there will be no problem for the guests to reach here via private cabs or personal cars.
Ambience
The interiors of the lounge are very sophisticated. The plush curtains, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and low lighting give it a classy ambiance. The bar area is also a sigh to see with wooden panels and modern hanging lights is perfect to pull up a chair and have a nice time with your friends. The furniture is extremely comfortable for the guests to enjoy their time here. It also has outdoor seating which gives a great view of the city skyline. In the evenings, it provides a wonderful setting for a romantic time with your loved one with glimmering lights of the various buildings being reflected from the glass railing of the outdoor seating or the glass windows.
Food and Service
The bar boasts of having a collection of spirits and other branded drinks to satisfy all the cocktail or hard drinks cravings one might be having. The menu also has a wide selection along with some tasty food dishes to go with your drinks. The bartender has all the knowledge and training to create a great cocktail of your choice or give a suggestion if you aren’t sure of what to order. The servers are also very friendly and efficient in serving the guests. The outdoor setting is also ideal for hosting a wedding party as it provides dramatic views of the Empire State Building, Times Square, and Hudson River.
