14th July 2020Pulimunchi in Indiranagar, Bangalore, is a go-to place for all the seafood lovers in the entire city. I booked the place through VenueMonk to have the opportunity of enjoying the same, and so, I visited the place on a fine Sunday afternoon with a friend of mine. 2nd June 2020A traditional and a very renowned place, which is known for being an epicentre of Mangalorean cuisine. One of the only places worth its salt, it is very nice to see local and regional cuisine being promoted by places like this. I am from Jammu and Kashmir, and not particularly used to the South Indian cuisine, however Pulimunchi made my transition easier. Approach
The Pulimunchi in K.P Square, Indiranagar is a wonderful Mangalorean and sea food joint. It attracts quite a lot of sea food lovers. The restaurant is at an ideal location. Public transport is easily available from here and it is also in a very safe and secure area.
Ambience
The restaurant offers a very rustic ambiance. The interiors are very traditionally designed in wood. You can tell that whoever has designed the venue has put a lot of thought into it. The wooden benches, old-school windows and pillars, and the lantern lights transport you to the rural India vibes, and although designed to look minimal, the venue displays tremendous beauty and elegance. The atmosphere is refreshing. It is one those quiet places where you can have meaningful conversations along with your meal, without having to shout over the blaring music as is usual in clubs and lounges.
Food and Service
The menu is in the form of one of those cards that looks like a worn out letter that was written back in the 50s or 60s. It is very nicely compartmentalized and organised into well defined sections. Options range from combos, biryanis to rice and breads. The restaurant also offers a variety of mocktails and soups. The food here is really good. It keeps the taste of South India alive and the services are very prompt. The staff is very well mannered.
