Dyker Beach Goa is a veryy nice place for playing Golf. I jumped on the subway from Midtown to Brooklyn and walked the rest of the way to Dyker Beach GC and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this golf course in a parkland setting. The guy in the pro shop was genuinely friendly and was a little shocked and chuffed that I had chosen Dyker Beach GC as my golfing destination, he paired me up with a couple of Brooklyn locals Ron & John for my round. The cost of the round was $ire.
We teed off just after 8 am and I really enjoyed the layout & condition of the course the views of the Verrazano Bridge and the company of my fellow playing partners! They even gave me a ride to a closer subway station after our round, how good is that! My tip would be tee off early on a weekday to avoid a long wait and round at this popular municipal course.
I finally played golf on the mainland of the USA and in Brooklyn of all places and will never forget the experience!
