It is a popular hotel in Pune for memorable stays and hosting events such as weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, etc. I attended my friend's cocktail event here and it was an amazing experience. Approach
Thambbi is sure to win your hearts with its authentic South Indian flavours. Located in the Baner-Balewadi Link Road, it is just opposite to the Prakriti society and witnesses a lot of family lunches and dinners.
Ambience
The restaurant has a very regal ambiance. It stays true to its South Indian roots. There's a beautiful picture of a Kathakali dancer on one of its walls. The interiors are soft and simple. Everything here is about subdued elegance and soft ambiance that leave you calm and tranquil. Soft melodious tunes flow in the background that lulls your mind and makes you feel at ease. The restaurant is sanguine. One can really feel the same way as one feels after a meditation–relaxed and in peace.

The restaurant does a terrific job at putting forth the most authentic of South Indian flavours in its dishes. Among a ton of South Indian outlets springing up in the city, this restaurant deserves to be in the competition because of the sheer amount of originality that it offers in its food and ambiance. There's a host of South Indian dishes to try. It's pure vegetarian– the dosas and uttapames are note worthy. There are also flavours from Kerala present in some of its dishes like the Kadala Kadhi. The thali menu here changes everyday and comes along with some delectable curries in Chettinad style, cauliflower curry and others. Compliment that with the classic Filter Coffee and you're sure to have nailed the whole South Indian dining experience. Apart from that, the restaurant also has a dedicated section of North Indian menus which are equally delicious. The staff is very efficient and do their job meticulously.
